Brittney is an associate attorney whose primary practice areas include interdiction law, family law, estate planning, civil litigation, juvenile law, and select criminal defense matters. She brings a rare blend of courtroom experience, strategic insight, and client‑focused advocacy shaped by years of service across Louisiana’s legal system. An Iowa native with a true Midwestern work ethic, Brittney came to Louisiana for law school and—despite the heat, humidity, and mosquitoes—decided to stay. She now proudly calls Louisiana home.
Brittney earned both her Juris Doctor and Graduate Diploma in Comparative Law from the LSU Paul M. Hebert Law Center. During law school, she spent a summer in Massachusetts serving as a student attorney at the Legal Services Center of Harvard Law School, where she represented veterans and other clients fighting for benefits through complex administrative court systems. This experience shaped her belief in patient, persistent advocacy and taught her how to navigate complex administrative systems with compassion and clarity.

After law school, Brittney began her career clerking for the Honorable Adam J. Haney at the East Baton Rouge Parish Juvenile Court where she had a hand in everything from adoptions to delinquency to Child In Need of Care matters. Working in a courtroom filled with families in crisis taught her how to communicate clearly, stay calm when everyone else is overwhelmed, and translate complicated legal problems into real‑world solutions.

Brittney later served as an Assistant Public Defender before transitioning to the East Baton Rouge Parish District Attorney’s Office, where she ultimately became a Felony Assistant routinely preparing for major trials and litigating a wide range of felony matters. These roles gave her a deep understanding of Louisiana’s courts, a steady courtroom presence, and a reputation for clear, persuasive written and oral advocacy.

In her interdiction and family law work, Brittney is known for her steady guidance, meticulous preparation, and ability to help clients navigate difficult transitions with clarity and compassion. Her estate planning and civil litigation clients value her analytical precision, practical problem‑solving, and commitment to protecting their long‑term interests.

Whether she’s litigating a complex matter or helping a family plan for the future, Brittney brings diligence, integrity, and a people‑first approach to every case—along with just enough Midwestern sensibility to keep things grounded.

In her free time Brittney is happily outnumbered by her two kittens, who run the household with the confidence of seasoned litigators. When she’s not negotiating with them for couch space, she’s cheering on the LSU Tigers or hunting down the best Louisiana crab legs that would make any Midwesterner question their loyalty to cornfields. She also loves exploring new local spots, spending time with friends, and soaking in all the culture, food, and fun that convinced an Iowa native to trade snow boots for crawfish trays. Louisiana may have lured her in with sunshine and seasoning, but it’s the people, the energy, and the everyday joy that made her stay for good.
